Vanilla Gorilla Mentioned In The Best American Comics 2007?

Apparently! At least according to MK, who informed me late last night that my story from the very first UNLUCKY preview mini, the one illustrated by Katie (recounting the time my elementary school principal, during a big school-wide ice cream party, totally freaked out) was given an honorable mention in the latest edition of the super esteemed collection!

For those who don’t know, The Best American Comics gathers the best comic stories from assorted books, magazines, mini’s, the web and even newspaper strips each year. It’s quite the honor to simply be given the nod as part of it’s list of top 100 distinguished comics. So yeah!

Thanks once again to Katie for doing a kick-ass job–wait till you guys see what she does with the tale of CRUTCH!
