I am 15 minutes into that story, and I am absolutely loving it. And I am not a huge Kevin Smith fan usually.

Yeah, that's a great 'crazy Hollywood through the eyes of the east coast' story.

his story about Prince is pretty great, too.
and also a pretty good segue into the (albeit better) Charlie Murphy story about Prince.

The guy does know how to tell a story. It just sucks that he's such a douche (virtually everyone I know who has directly worked with the guy says he's a nightmare, the angriest of the angry fat, comic book types one can imagine) and only had two good movie in him as a director.
Though I've been told that his script for Superman is pretty amazing, which I've always been meaning to track down. I believe it can be found online, somewhere.

It's a decent Brainiac centered script. Probably easier to pull off now than it was at the time of writing.

Hey Fitz, you read any of his comic work? I myself haven't... heard his Spider Man stuff wasn't too bad.
I sometimes get him confused with that guy that was on the Real World... he went on to write Green Arrow, right?

Hey Fitz, you read any of his comic work? I myself haven't... heard his Spider Man stuff wasn't too bad. I heard good things about his run with Dare Devil when he was teamed to Quesada but I never really followed it. Same with his periodic forays into the DCU. I caught a little bit of his Green Arrow run which was a good restoration of the original Oliver Queen character. I sometimes get him confused with that guy that was on the Real World... he went on to write Green Arrow, right?
Yeah, he's popped up a few times writing archs for both Marvel and DC. The most recent one is a non-continuity Batman story that's mostly a resume piece for his friend Walt Flanagan to try and push him into doing comics full time so they can close the NJ comic store Smith owns and Flanagan runs.

I already mentioned Second Skin in the game addiction thread, though I forgot to say that I do believe it to be the most enjoyable video game documentary thus far, even better than King of Kong! Which I think is saying a lot.
But also, finally convinced Katie to watch Conan this past weekend, which she enjoyed (as expected). God is it ever awesome, easily the best fantasy flick ever.
