I hope so because four times is I think what I paid for it, and I still haven't gotten around to playing very much of it. I guess I'm waiting for mods that I like that don't cause it to crash.

if i had a good PC, i'd get this
OR
with Steam, could i download to a new computer? i.e. buy the game now and then redownload it later when i have better system specs?

Joe - Yes.
It's totally worth it, Stalker is probably the most atmospheric FPS that I've ever played. Of course said atmosphere is "janky Russian post-apocalypse"; that's right down my pleasure alley though.

the first stalker is amazing, but i have a caveat: i never had any crashes, even with the unpatched 1.0 release. kind of a rare bird there.
but yeah steam is portable. your account travels with you. i believe you can have it up on multiple machines so long as you don't log into both at once as well.

yea, so even though the sale says it goes "through" November 2, they apparently meant "ends by." STALKER is back up to $20. and, after verifying i could run it, probably pretty well, this is kind of frustrating. oh well. see it in...jan/feb
