Remember Folks, There's A Sale Going On

Mentioned it in another thread, and I'm pretty certain most have heard about it by now, but there's a buy two, get one free sale going on at Toys R Us, across the store this week. Gonna stop by later today to see what's left.

But there's also now the similar deal on Amazon...

I heard from few sources about TrU being dicks about selling Uncharted 2 as part of this deal. They claim that either they did not got any in stock (lol) or that all the copies they had in store were reserved for pre-orders (and will be on hold for 6 days - which of course means - till the deal is over). Some stores also will make it impossible for you to get Brutal Legend (using techniques listed above).

Let me know which store you'll be going to, but the only one in walking distance from my work is on Union Square. That means by the time I get there all the stock will be gone (I preemptively blame the kids who will be selling these games on Ebay and tourists for that), but to be honest aside from being mildly interested in Uncharted 2 there is nothing awesome (at least for me) coming out this week.

my bad - you're right - for whatever reason I was thinking that the store I went to last time like 7 years ago was still there.

So that leaves me with two locations - SoHo or Sunnyside.

hmmm...

don't really have the money right now to lay out for two games, but...it's really a pretty good deal.

what is the deal exactly? i assume the free game must be of equal or lesser value or something? like, i couldn't buy two DS games for 20-30 and then get Uncharted 2, right?

Just came back from TRU. Don't bother. Most of the good stuff, at least on the 360 side, is long gone, and everything else is way over-priced. $65 for DiRT 2? Seriously?

oh yea! forgot about that one.

well, i'm gonna pass by the TRU in Long Island today on my way back from work. i'll see if there's anything that's worth getting. being out of 360 stuff isn't necessarily a bad thing for me, as i'd like to beef up the PS3 library a little bit.

Seems like Best Buy will also be having 3 for the price of 2 sale (starting OCT 25 to OCT31).

My plan is to wait till Tuesday and hopefully pick up Forza 3, Uncharted 2 or Borderlands and Ratchet And Clank: A Future Crack in Time

So anyone taking advantage of any of the big post Thanksgiving/Black Friday sales, primarily online? Gotta say, I remember Amazon having a fuckton more deals last year. Actually, there's still plenty of deep discounts, it's just not stuff I'm all that interested in. Though Need For Speed: Shift for $35 doesn't sound too bad.
