I'd rather keep my PS3 that plays PS2 games than get one though.

I'd rather keep my PS2 that only plays PS2 games.

i dunno.  maybe it's a case of me being delusional since i bought the thing, but i'm actually significantly happy with my PS3.  it gets about the same amount of play as my 360 does, but for different genres/reasons.  and i really don't happen to think that the super ginormous size of it (wow firefox recognizes ginormous as an actual word; that's pretty fucked) makes the console ugly.  if anything it's sort of "WOW THE FUTURE" in a classic we-didn't-know-no-better sense.

So this thing turned out to be real after-all. Again, I can understand the doubt, since it looked... and still looks... extremely chintzy. Hence why I finally went out earlier today and got myself a PS3, while the marginally better looking original is still available. The price cut also played a large part. For the record...

$400 original price
- $100 for price cut
- $200 from the N81 I finally sold from eBay
- $40 from various games I traded in

= $ a little over $60 that I actually paid!
