The PS3 Slim, For Reals?

So apparently, that PS3 slim is still making the rounds online...
http://www.sankakucomplex.com/2009/07/14/slim-ps3-video-emerges/
... We all know it's gonna happen, but the vid somewhat proves that the version that was floating around is a definitely a fake.
BTW, I kinda want to get mine before the official redesign, since I have zero faith in Sony's industrial designers anymore, especially after the PSPGo. Then again... the thing is still ugly and too pricey.

But, they're competing with the iPod touch and iPhone with PSP Go. *rolls eyes*
I would've liked the idea more if they actually used it to... you know... cut the costs for the consumer. But, it's not like I can't download games on my PSP already.

Every software publisher I have spoken to about digital distribution before the PSPGo was formally announced was somewhat optimistic, but after the system was revealed... specifically the absurd price tag... and now they don't even want to bother. No one is gonna bother with the damn thing, so why bother? Especially since just handing a game over to Sony to upload to their PlayStation Store isn't as straightforward as one might assume or expect it to be.

Well, Sony has had a habit lately of shooting themselves in the foot by overshooting consumer interest in things like HD, Blu-Ray and console gaming on the go with PSP.
HD is nice, but most people don't really know how to set up their HDTV to play games(the average consumer) Blu-Ray is getting a "meh" from the consumer marketplace and... I think they seriously had no idea what they wanted to do with the PSP.

both the PS3 and PSP are things that i'm glad i own but which were difficult for me to justify the purchase of when i initially thought about it.
the thing that makes Sony's choices even more confusing is how nice everything runs and looks. it's amazing to me that they could drop the ball in so many ways and that the PS3 hasn't achieved more widespread acceptance.
but i play it more than my Wii, that's for sure.

I think I play it more as a PS2 than a PS3 though.

That video reminds me of something
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJjUt2sXo5o
That video also proves that Asians should not be permitted to manhandle consoles.
I own a PS3, but I'd get a slim too...if it is real?

Best comment under that linked vid of bigfoot

Komo- I am ashamed to have even debated with you. What a pathetic, small human being you are. Suggestion that an opinionated person like Emin should be BLOCKED. Why don't you move to the Soviet Republic or North Korea where you will fit in perfectly ...... DICK.
Moving to Soviet Republic would require to travel at least 18 years back in in time...
I'm planning on getting PS3 (or maybe PS3 slim) as soon as new Katamari comes out in US.

for the record I think Noby Noby Boy is probably 100x better than the new Katamari
that is an accurate measurement, let me tell you
but nah Katamari Remix or whatever it's called looks all right

Katamari Tribute has a few additions to the gameplay that I think has the potential to ruin the already tried and tested formula. Like the ability to jump and having stuff stick to you even though you're not the right size.
I say, just get the soundtrack when it's available.

isfet, Noby Noby Boy will be acquired also. I'm a bit ashamed that this game is only few months old and I already forgot about it and how badly I wanted it when it came out. Other thisgs I'm looking for on PS3 are: Super Stardust HD, Wipeout HD and Fat Princess and MAYBE Flower (funny that all of these titles except for Katamari are on PSN).
Fort, I'm looking forward to the Katamari Forever sountrack, "improving" (aka. remixing) existing, and loved tracks seems like a smart idea.

Jumping sounds nice, but what's this about picking up stuff that's too big?

First off, jumping is achieved by shaking the Sixaxis/Dual Shock 3 (gay) or the R2 (better, but still, you're supposed to get big enough to grab that thing that's just out of place). There are also power-ups that allows you to collect stuff that's normally too big for you at the time. Just seems kinda silly (wasn't able to play with that feature myself the time I spent with the game).

hmmmm...
the power up would either ruin the point
or
make speed runs more intense. potentially?
drozdal: a lot of my time is spent with PSN games. Flower, assuming you have an HDTV, looks gorgeous and is worth the price. it's not really a play more than once kind of thing, but it's really nice when you do play it.
The Last Guy is frustratingly awesome
Wipeout HD is not as good as 3 but is fun
anyway back on topic i think the idea of a ps3 slim is kind of silly :/

So it is for real after-all...
http://www.sankakucomplex.com/2009/08/01/ps3-slim-appears-on-amazon/
... Which means that new logo is actually legit. Wow. Can't believe they actually managed to make the Spider-Man font look good.
