Is there any way to buy half a record? I wish we could just go through and somehow buy the tracks we liked from a record and not pay for the tracks we don’t like. I would even pay as much as 99 cents per track if there were a way for that to happen. Get on it, music-biz fat cats!

very last review (just a reprint of something from 1994)

they also have a feature on al qaeda that works in this mold as well.

Maybe the current digital music industry is based on that review?

Couple of things...

1. don't know why I'm somewhat weirderd out that Vice has been around for so long.

2. I had somewhat forgotten that 94 was the last year in which I gave a shit about hip hop. That Nas album is still awesome to this day, same with Warren G.

3. They gave Portishead a thumbs down and liked Oasis. Okay...

Somebody was saying in the comments that these are new captions for old pictures, so I don't think it's presience; more just Vice being tongue-in-cheek.

i saw that too, but i'm not so sure. some of it is a bit to mid 90s. plus they missed the chance to say something snarky about pavement. unless saying it was the best album of 94 was their snark, then?

It seems unlikely that all of this is new material though a certain kind of reverse prescience for the Biggie review was must have been at play.
