HEY - I know I'm new AND I've been off-forum for a few weeks,
but I thought you wouldn't mind knowing that there's two things at Babycastles this weekend.
It would be fun to see some of you again! This time it's back in the basement,
and kinda really beautiful or ... funny.

Originally debuting in the back of Blip Festival 2007, KILLJET is Tristan Perich's contribution to lo-fi video game culture. The entire 1-bit video game runs out of a single digital pin of a programmable microchip, which is soldered directly into the television screen. Anamanaguchi forever holds the high score.

This more than lives up to my expectations!

Indigo Prophecy was like 100% brilliant and fun and at the same time 100% lol about the gameplay.
I can't describe it, but that's why it was profound.
The controls were as ridiculous as they could have imagined.
The gameplay stats like your sanity meter were basically pure nonsense.
It's how I learned never to mix meds with alcohol...

Hi - I'm putting up GNILLEY from sydney + 5 other local games at a brooklyn arcade.  I think that the yelling game will kind of be amazing in an arcade.  I'm psyched for how it turns out ---

BUT,. I'm not a gamer and I'm not a game designer, as you can see by me0wtr0n.  So I need some gamer kinda people to make it out from time to time and tell me what's generally important to do with the indie arcade i run!  Come Tuesday night if you are free and talk!  I've been feeling it out for three months and so far it's always making ground.

Actually, ranting on kotakus readers is fine.   I remember that cory arcangel moment.   I dont think destructoid is too different.   How do different communities still take hold on generic sites? And what do sites do to engender their specific communities i.e. howv did kotaku get such a shitty pile? What about the cory arcangel article / article failed its readers?

Wasn't the charm of Indigo Prophecy the sarcasm? Although it got over the top at the end...

Heavy Rain seems to heavily live up to its predecessor in that sense. I'm really psyched.
TOO PSYCHED.
