It's amazing how the best console experiences we're getting now come from PC games that have been around for ages.
I have no idea if it's pissing off the PC gaming crowd still, or not. But, damn... I've been playing more western developed games this generation than I did last generation.

http://kotaku.com/5334428/nintendos-shameful-inflatable-horse+riding-wii-controllerRead that headline one more time. Then look at this picture. And prepare yourself for the eventuality that no, this is not a joke, meaning yes, Nintendo actually patented an inflatable horse-riding peripheral for the Wii.
It's a small, inflatable cushion with a dock for the Wii Remote. So that when you rock/bounce the horse, the controller is able to register the movement. You are then supposed to hold the nunchuk as you would a horse's reins. If it were a horse. We'd imagine it could just a easily simulate the riding of a donkey, camel, llama, alpaca or Asian elephant. I am wondering which patent is the vitality sensor, if they patented it? It has to be somewhere since someone would've had to find the thing since that thing came out of left field during E3 and nobody really knows what to make of it still. I'm just guessing this patent is another one of those patents that they filed because someone in R&D just came up with the idea.

I was seriously creeped out when I visited the L Ron Hubbard Museum. With this lady who had a Spock hair cut as our tour guide, the weird animatronics and at the end of the tour a massive L Ron Hubbard picture.
But, they did have air conditioning. So, I guess that was a positive to a hot LA day.

Yeah, I don't think they're going to do anything at all. It's probably natural to feel self conscious whenever being at a place you're not used to.
If anything I'll probably just hang around my friend and use the experience to help strengthen my points of reference for my artwork and shit like that. While at the same time drinking.

You know, I picked up a copy of Farcry Instincts Predator a few years back on the cheap and still haven't played past like... The first level. Most of the enemies do look like the idealized male from classical terms though. So it's more like playing with action figures with an 8 year old mind than anything else. What's also interesting, on the GLAAD panel that Gay Gamer's Flynn DeMarco someone in the questions section of the panel mentioned that in the newish Turok game, there was storyboard art of Turok kissing(on the mouth) another soldier in the game. That scene was cut but it probably plays into what you're saying. http://gaygamer.net/2009/07/videos_glaads_panel_on_homopho.html#more Theres the panel. Some of what they go over is painfully obvious and some of the questions to the panel at the end are very groan-worthy(like seriously, did that girl ever play Dragon Quest VIII or did she just watch youtube videos since she got bored of it?) The specific video where DQ VIII was involved. http://glaadblog.org/wp-content/uploads/video-uploads/Part%2017%20-%20QandA%205%20-%20Selling%20an%20LGBT%20Character.movI hate to sound terribly defensive of the game, but seriously the princess herself pretty much tells you she's interested in you(in so many words) and has had a previous friendship with the character before the game started.
