Title: Random Artsy Stuff You've Made Post by: dmauro on July 29, 2009, 10:33:00 AM I think we had a thread like this in the old forum, and I couldn't find it, so here's the reboot.
I need to make some graphics for the August Pulsewave's visual sets. 8bk-ok is supposed to be doing a cover of the Lazytown cake song, so I've got this so far: (http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a160/davidlory/Lazytown.gif) I need to make an animated lil John sprite, a dancing cake, and maybe her doing a split or something silly. I could probably be doing some simpler stuff, but I'm kind of curious to see how hard/easy it is to animate fighting game sized sprites. Title: Re: Random Artsy Stuff You're Making Post by: FortNinety on July 29, 2009, 01:50:20 PM I just wanted to say that, at a time in which ill-conceived (as well as ill-executed) chiptunes covers seem to be all the rage (sorry, but that Daft Punk cover compilation was just bad, and just heard a bit of one that does the same for The Prodigy. which was beyond bad), someone covering the Lazytown theme is pure brilliance.
Title: Re: Random Artsy Stuff You're Making Post by: dmauro on July 29, 2009, 05:32:08 PM I had never put together some of the animations I made for Anamanaguchi's Dawn Metropolis, but since I was already playing with animation I thought I'd go ahead since the guy who animated the videos didn't exactly get it right. Specifically the robot run animation is all wrong. It's only a three frame run, so it seemed like it'd be nice and easy, but I think he ordered them 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3 instead of 1, 2, 3, 2, 1, 2, 3. Anyways, here are some of the animations that were used in Danger Mountain:
