Seriously, the greatest thing about living in NYC is the cable access, without a doubt. Speaking as a former television junkie, haven't had cable in years and don't need it thanks to the goldmine that is Manhattan Neighborhood Network. Even though the glory days have clearly passed, some long-standing classics still remain, like the king of the hyper-kinetically edited mash-ups that is known as Concrete TV...

... I have some truly good shit on VHS tapes from over the years that I really need to get off my ass and start converting to DV.

As awesome Concrete TV is, it absolutely pales in comparison to Madame Chao's...

... Unfortunately, it's been off the air for ages, and you can find a few clips here and there on YouTube, but the Flash processing totally kills most of the effect. Me and my buddy Master Blaster used to sit watch the whole 28 minutes without blinking once.
I luckily taped a few episodes, which I've tried showing to pilot. She can't get through 30 seconds without getting a blinding headache.

Right now on cable access is that show where hipster girls get undressed and masturbate with Sade playing in the background. Which of course is fucking awesome.

... The best of DVDs are available on Netflix btw, and are highly recommended.

I absolutely love it when the people who run Manhattan cable access have nothing else better to play than old YMO vids from the 80s.

This is interesting....

But this is even more so...

... Maybe instead of having a cable access show, having my own channel is the way to go?

For those of you who can watch Manhattan cable access, TURN ON CH 56 RIGHT NOW. This shit is insane, like Team Assignment, the TV show.

Some more info: she's a total paranoid delusional who believe demonic pigs run the world via thought control, and how they're after her cuz she has a special ray gun to nullify their actions. To a degree. Hasn't figured out how they spread their message; perhaps video games. Mostly violent video games, because they are inherently loud. It's easier to sneak in subliminal instructions during noisy bullet fire, would be able to obscure instructions for eating peanuts, even to those who are allergic to them. Another thing the demon pigs use to control kids? After school programs. All of them.
BTW, God is on her side, as evidenced by how pay phone spit $35 quarters on her way to church.
Re: The Matrix, "It's like being asked to swallow the pill, but I didn't have a choice, it was shoved down my throat" as she angrily gazes into the camera." She's also a cartoonist...

Man, this comic strip is really sad, but I can't help but laugh. I mean, if you take your paranoid schizophrenia and put it in comic form then we can't be expected not to find it at least a little funny.
