EDIT: btw Fitz, is everyone on that message board comparing him to Randy Couture of some other famous MMA fighter? He had some fine, on the spot/on the street, technique from my vantage point. Then again, against a guy in a Tap Out shirt, supposed its not too hard.

As far as drunk dude grappling goes it wasn't the worst, though that was a slow enough one leg take down that I considered it might have been a "job" at first.  Given the rest of the vid it seems like it was a genuine encounter and while hardly an example of technical excellence it wasn't the worst.

Actually, and as somewhat already indicated, it's the second video that made me wonder if it was all a work due to Joe G's unabashed love for Whataburger.

I chalk that up to his suddenly finding himself internet famous and just having some fun with it.

Another one for the holiday; nothing says praise Jesus than a bunch of dancing and singing kids, an adult in semi-illfitting overalls, plus a talking donut puppet...

Late to the party I know; Arnold providing commentary to the new Predator trailer cracks me up for some reason...

the way the guy says "without Jesus, our lives would be empty...and real sad Sad" made me think that a) he sounds kind of mentally disabled and b) i'm not sure what someone totally unfamiliar with Christianity would make of a show like this.  it would probably seem like some bizarre combination of a factory and cult of personality.

and that...that just makes me feel nice

I must confess, I'm sorta with Andy Rooney with this one...

... though as Katie is quick to point out, don't blame the artists but the folks that fund such bullshit.

Awesome haircut ftw. He's certainly no Whitney Houston, but that was a pretty good go for a guy. He has a higher pitched voice than Whitney though.

Eric Wareheim and Fatal Farm made a video for HEALTH's "We are Water"

it's not really what you'd expect from that combination, though

While not as visceral Die Slow, that was still absolutely amazing. For the first time in a LONG time, I'm actually excited for music videos.

Seriously, the whole thing was beautiful, excellent use of cheap but effective effects, something that has been lost in the form for over a decade now. And most importantly does not scream "HELLO, I DID THIS IN FINAL CUT PRO AND AFTER EFFECTS!!!"

yea, those are the exact reasons why i think the video is so good.  it's like the video equivalent of rediscovering why microwave dinners suck and 100-year-old cooking methods are awesome.
