But can you have sex with it? You know that's why Japan is so into robots.

It sucks that Apple and Google are parting ways, since the iPhone is probably never gonna get this...

Once again, the future of the past is SO much cooler than that of the present. Also, I had at least five of those droids.

Wasn't there a "lol Google Maps" thread, or was that at the old place? Anyway...

So the iPad, any thoughts? I'm pretty much with the "that's it/are you serious/lulz" camp, btw.

So is it really just a big iPod? It seems like such a waste. I mean if it could run adobe stuff and I could use my wacom pen on it I would feel like a fool for just having bought an iPod touch, but if it's simply an iPod that doesn't at all fit in your pocket then count me out. (really enjoying this iPod btw)

The more hardcore and annoying Apple blogs are alive with "all those who are bitching will still buy the thing" (umm, such an adage only really works when the item in question is less than half a grand) and "sure the geeks are all pointing and laughing, but it's not meant for them" (well, gaming and publishing types I've spoken with have their own specific reasons for disliking the thing, most regular schmoes I know just think its retarded, period).

A part of me was hoping for something a little special, to actually help inject life (or at least enthusiasm) into the world of print, and this most certainly is not it. As noted on the blog, the asking price is actually surprisingly low for an Apple product, but still completely unacceptable given how crippled it is. No multi-tasking, still? Jesus. And they're still sticking with AT&T?

The Wi-Fi version makes no sense. Like I said elsewhere, what am I going to do at home, use it to watch a movie when I already have a TV/computer? Surfing the web and ESPECIALLY listening the music is awfully cumbersome/vastly inferior when compared to shit that's already available at home, more than likely.

I just don't know why Apple just doesn't release a netbook running OS X (don't get me started with this goofy variant of the iPhone OS) with a real keyboard and give everyone what they want (and take their money in exchange).
