I wish I had caught the story before it got pulled, but because from the looks of it, how could ANYONE believe that hot dog was that old. What was the story, that it was in an air-tight environment or something?

And yeah, decades worth of Howard Stern phoney phone callers have proven that CNN (and everyone else) don't do shit when it comes to fact checking sources.

to be honest i wouldn't put any effort into researching brites either, unless it was potentially actionable.

Nice to see the CIHP pulling the wool over someone's eyes.

If you've never read it I highly recommend CIHP Executive Director Charlie Denson's Coney Island: Lost and Found . Charlie grew up in the neighborhood and has a real love of its history.
