i was sort of surprised by this story, as i thought these guys were nobodies, but apparently they had vc backing? the site itself was unmemorable.

First off, I'm pals with Evan Narcisse, so it sucks that he lost his gig. And on a personal, more selfish note, it sucks whenever any outlet goes down like this, since that means getting work will be harder across the board.

But regarding the article, it's... curious to say the least. The fact that the author used to be a contributor should confirm if there's any sort of bias when it comes to looking at the facts.

I just looked all across NeoGAF for news of this, as well people's reactions, and couldn't find a thing. And I myself hadn't heard of this news till right now. Take that for what it's worth.
