well sometimes in fighting games, people get upset when you beat them repeatedly

so they'll do a rematch or so with you because they want to beat you to show that they're "better."  if they do beat you, they'll leave immediately after, so you can't challenge them to a rematch.  but in some cases, if they NEVER win, they'll just, in a fit of rage, disconnect their xbox from the internet in the last few seconds of the last round as they're about to lose.

also, TDS:  yes, i am hungry.  i sort of wish you still worked at BK now.

I just beat both campaigns for Revenge of the Fallen (360). It's a shame the game was rushed, because they have some pretty cool idea - dialogue based on performance during post-mission councils - that I can see being used by other studios with lesser constraints later on. Infamous is pretty good, actually getting better as I go on. I also picked up Ground Control plus expansion off of Good Old Games, but I've only played the tutorial and first mission - pretty good so far.

Yesterday I check out some upcoming Ubi Soft stuff, like Assassin's Creed 2, though the real highlight was finally finishing Flower, Sun, and Rain, which everyone can read about here...

... Time to head down to Gamestop and trade in some clunkers for Devil Survivor! Often I play something one last time before letting it go, but I honestly could care less about Halo Wars and Ninja Blade.

It's been a mix of World of Warcraft and Guitar Hero/Rockband. GF has the 360 so that's what we play when I go over. At home it's just WoW, maybe some SF4 when the neighbor visits. Matt (DJ) keeps telling me to get BlazBlue like it's the Second Coming or something; I dunno, I tried guilty gear once and it just seemed weird.

No more than Mortal Kombat, I suppose.

Just got Punch-Out for the Wii. Was never a biggest fan for the NES and SNES editions (I liked them, but am totally nostalgic for them like some) and like this new edition a lot, maybe more than the other two, though the motion controls fucking bite. Guess NES-like set-up is the way to go.

Actually, there's an achievement for Pyro in Team Fortress 2 to have someone ragequit on you after you've dominated them

BTW, I can confirm that Punch Out of the Wii is 100% better without the motion controls. A bit of a shame, but that's just the way it is.

Started up with Holy Invasion and it's pretty cool, but there are some annoying things. I don't like how when trying to make dragons, often, just before you can click on the square, a spirit sucks some mana out of it and it becomes a Lilith. I'm also having a hard time understanding how those spirits work. Sometimes a whole bunch of them completely fail to put their mana together in one block, and sometimes just a couple will randomly make a dragon. I'm just having a hard time making it all come together.

For those of you that haven't downloaded the demo of the new Turtles In Time remake for XBLA, save your self the trouble. It kinda stinks.

I'm curious about the Monster Hunter series. Goozex has the PSP releases from 2007, 2008, and the newest one (Unite? United?) as being available. The 2007 release is only 100 points, so for those in the know, would that be a good place to start, or has a lot changed to the point where I wouldn't get the right impression?

I finished up Infamous last week, and I will be starting Ghostbusters shortly.

I'm also looking forward to going back to Dawn of War II with the release of There Is Only War - now maybe I won't get my ass handed to me online.
