I'm sure it is just the part of me that likes one cackling footed gods of consciousness and the like but it amused me tremendously watching people try and parse the realities of of the kind of war the U.S. is presently a part of.

Also, I love that Al-Awlaki was pursuing a PhD in Human Resources.

Quote
The really mendacious thing about the crap Clinton spews at about this time every year is that unlike the tortured nexus he tries to build between government critics and Timothy McVeigh, his responsibility for the charred bodies at Waco is pretty damned easy to chart. He gets to gloss over all of that now.

topical, particularly in light of maddow's special.

sigh.

beyond showing us that some/most/all elected officials think sedition means "not doing what i want", i think it's interesting that cries of "nearly treason!" and "almost insurrection, kinda!" have become popular with folks who were generally more on the chimpler mchaliburton side of things a bare two years ago. it's interesting in the same way that watching republicans do a 180 after eight years of criticizing clinton's executive overreach/choice of penis cozy.

may i never forget that all politics is a sports bar.

I just love how everyone who would have demanded Bush's head on a plate for the same piss poor response that Obama and his pals have provided for the oil spill are current too busy dissecting the Lost series finale to notice.
