anyone heard about this?  I'm going to be in town while this is going on and was thinking "hmm, I might take advantage of these nice offers on alcohol, provided they are not one-time use only."

lol. Have fun dude.

And the Bud special would be awesome if not for the fact that it's Bud, which makes me gag. I'd rather have PBR, despite it's hipster-ish connotations.

yeah uh I didn't really know what that was.  and looking at pictures online, well.

still, seeing if you could put $20 of $0.88 vodka in an hour, I don't think it would matter where you are.

but maybe that's not everyone's idea of a good time.

Don't tell me you didn't know. PBR is mostly connected with hipsters at this point, among a few others, but unlike bullshit microbrews like Dog Head or Dog Fish or whatever the fuck, it's actually awesome.

... Though now the new hipster beer of choice might be Michelob?

No, how could you prefer PBR over Bud? Bud's nothing special, but it doesn't taste like shit.

Wilkes made me drink three Millers yesterday. I know it's the champagne of beers and all, but usually two is my limit for those.

I was talking to Wilkes about Yuengling about how it's the best beer for your buck around here, and he mentioned that they just brought it down to WV. Apparently their expanding their market, which probably has a lot to do with this summer's Yuengling drought here in the city.

Yeah, Yuengling is the greatest, pound for pound, no matter the criteria.

agreed on Yuengling.

PBR is kind of gross, but not worse than Bud.  i would rather urinate in my mouth than drink Bud.  i really mean that, too.

but Miller High Life is the way to go if i want $2 beer in the city.

I feel like I'm reading posts from an alternate universe where the names of all the cheap beers are swapped.
